  I would give them a zero but cannot. This is by far the worst homeowners insurance company probably in the state of Indiana. Be prepared this is going to be a kind of lengthy review. As I only made two claims with this company. It was an absolute s**t show. We were hit by a hail storm and their adjuster Mike thought he would get away with only replacing the back quarter of our roof. He literally said that was the only part of our roof hit by hail. I ended up having to call the department of insurance and get the Attorney General's office involved to get my roof replaced. Then about 14 months later our neighbors dbag ricer son vandalised our AC unit with a puncher. ( It came about shortly after that 2 neighbors witnessed him jumping our fence and then they saw a large cloud of white) Our unit is an older unit and takes R22. Right now it is 200 bucks a pound. After dealing with this joke of an insurance company about our roof. I figured I would have to call the IDOI again. Their only adjuster Mike( I requested a different adjuster because this guys intrapersonal skills are severely lacking) said it should only cost about 500 dollars to fix it. I then Decided I would only talk to the CEO Susan Taggart. What a miserable ****. There was diagnostics and repairs made to the copper piping and 5 pounds of refrigerant needed, and they had an initial diagnostic, and made two trips total. Total cost of 2475.00 from weavers tin shop which is a commercial company, not residential. They refused to pay it out, even with it being the lowest quote. Ben franklin was 3211.00 and A local company owned by someone from high school Mckinneys 2500.00 repair and 3800 to replace. Their CEO has a mindset equivalent to a middle schooler. Susan, Zach, Eugene and Joanie all thought it was cute to hang up on me and refused to talk to me. Eugene thought he could use scare tactics and threats, "we would not like the outcome" and if he has his way we will not get a dime." They made the entire transaction very unpleasant. We ended up having to hire an attorney because they refused to pay out our claim, Forged legal documents ,as well as ,made slanderous accusations of us padding the lowest quoted price, they sent us a farm property policy and kept trying to use this as our agreed upon policy when we had a home-guard special form; there were a myriad of other names we were called scam artists & con artists,etc. We went with the lowest quote and saved everyone money. I don't know how that is considered scamming. I am pretty sure you cheat people out of money not save money.This company purposefully and deliberately tried to send us false and forged documents and tried to get away with not paying out a claim we were covered for and paid premiums on. Their tactics were abusive and down right disgusting. The new homeowners insurance company we have now let us know they tried to put a non renewal on us for claims frequency with only one claim in 2 years. To me this means they're also vindictive with personal and sensitive information. In no way should any of these people be doing business, or handling this type of paperwork. They all deserve to be fired, and charged with fraud. They did not follow their own policy about some power of attorney to talk with someone other than the policy holder. Eugene also tried to rattle off a bunch of nonsense about HIPPA. This company needs to combed through with a fine tooth comb and obviously, there desperately needs to be an audit of some kind. We are not the only people they have done this to. I have never been treated or talked to like this with USAA, Geico or Farm Bureau. Even though I left those companies, Remington Farm Mutual is by far the absolute worst company with the most unprofessional staff and a joke for a CEO. No CEO I have ever dealt with has ever acted like that. Be warned: stay far away from this company.
